How to Sell Items (Where Is the Item I Just Bought?)

How to Sell Roblox Created Items

Right now only BC, TBC and OBC members can participate in private selling. Additionally, as with trading, only items marked as Limited or Limited U are able to be sold. If an item is Limited or Limited U, there will be an icon declaring it as such underneath the item's picture when viewing its details page or when browsing the catalog.

To sell an item that meets the above requirements, first go to its details page. When there, click the gear icon above the box that contains the price and Buy Now buttons. Then select Sell Item in the menu that displays. You will then be given a box that lets you set your price.

Note: Please be very careful during the pricing process. If you set the wrong price and it sells (a cheap price can cause the item to sell almost immediately), Roblox will not be able to reverse the transaction.

How to Create and Sell Your Own Items

If you would like to create pants, a shirt or a t-shirt from scratch, you can sell those as well. For steps on how to create and sell clothing, please click here.

I Bought an Item, but It's Not in My Inventory

There are some instances where you may have purchased an item but cannot find it inside of your inventory. If this happens, there are a few things to look at:

  1. If it's only been a minute, it's possible that not everything has caught up to you yet. In this case, wait just a little longer and look again.
  2. Look at every page of your inventory. There's a chance it may not be appearing on the first one.
  3. If the item was free, make sure it wasn't a model or decal.  Players often create models or decals that look like the official Roblox items for use in decorating games. Check both of these sections in your inventory to be sure. To tell the difference before buying, you can see what its item type is underneath its title on the item details page.
