All About Profiles, Blurbs, and Profile Customization

Your profile is the Roblox page that's all about you. People can use it to message you, see what your avatar looks like, read a little about you, see things you've created, etc. There are even several options available to help make your profile the best reflection of your avatar, personality, and abilities!

Viewing a Profile

To view your own profile, simply click the Profile link located in the navigation menu on the left of the page. To view someone else's, this can be done in the following ways:

  • Using the Search Box: You can type the name of the profile you wish to view into the search box at the top of the site. Then select to search in People. Then simply click on their name in the user-list that pops up.
  • Item or Game Creators: You can view the profile of a game or item's creator by going to its details page and clicking on their name. For games, this is located beneath the title and for items this is located to the right of its image.

The Basic Info Box

The first thing you see when viewing a profile is the basic information box. Here you will find the user's player icon, user name, BC level, their most recent status update, interaction options, and friends/follower information. For more info on these, please see the More Information section at the bottom of this article

The Creations Tab

You can view the items or games that a player has created by clicking on the Creations tab of the player profile. This is located beneath the basic information box. This tab will display everything the user has created separated by category.

By default, the games will display in a detailed view that focuses on one game at a time and can be scrolled through by clicking the arrow icons on the left and right of the description box. You can, however, display multiple games at once by clicking on the  icon.

Choosing What Shows On Your Creations Tab

Occasionally you may find that some of your creations are better examples of your building abilities or personality than others. If this is the case, you can choose to only showcase specific ones. To do this:

  1. Visit the game/item's details page
  2. Click the gear-icon or icon that looks like three dots to the right of the title
  3. In the menu that pops up click either "Add to Profile" or "Remove from Profile"

The About Tab - The Blurb and Social Networks

Occasionally users may wish to let people know what they're all about, or maybe they just want to entertain their fellow players with some funny quotes. The blurb, visible in a profile's About tab, is the place to do this. To create one of your own or edit your already existing one:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Click the icon that looks like a gear located at the upper-right of the page
  3. In the pop-up menu, select Settings
  4. Type your new blurb into the Personal Blurb box

In the upper-right of your blurb box, you will see any social networks that a player has linked. If you are 13 or older, you can add social networks to your own profile from within the Social tab of your Account Settings page.

Note: Your blurb will be subject to any filtering put in place by your account's privacy mode. Also, make sure your blurb does not provide any details that can be used to identify you outside Roblox and otherwise follows the Rules of Conduct.

The About Tab - Currently Wearing

In the Currently Wearing section of a profile's About tab, you'll see a picture of how the player's avatar currently looks. You can toggle between 2D and 3D views by clicking on the corresponding button in the image's upper-right corner. In the blue box to the right of this picture, you'll see a list of everything the user is wearing. If you see something you like, you can click on it to buy one for yourself or get more details.

The About Tab - Other Sections

Below are the other sections you'll find in the About Tab:

  • Friends: lists up to nine of the player's friends. If they have more than nine, you can view all of them by clicking the blue See All button.
  • Collections: This will show you up to six of the items a player has purchased. By default these will be the most recently obtained items, but the player can choose what displays in this section if they would like. To view a player's entire inventory divided by category, click on the blue Inventory button. We shall discuss how to choose what goes in this section a bit later in this article.
  • Groups: This section will show all of the groups the player belongs in. Much like the games section of the Creations Tab, the groups will display in a detailed view that focuses on one at a time. You can scroll through them by clicking the arrow icons on the left and right of the description box. You can, however, display multiple groups at once by clicking on the  icon.
  • Favorite Games: Here you will see a selection of games that a player has favorited. To view all of a player's favorites, simply click the blue Favorites button. For information on how to favorite a game yourself, click here
  • Roblox Badges: This shows a list of all of the Roblox created badges that the user has earned. To see how a badge was obtained, simply click on it.
  • Player Badges: This lists the player-created badges that a player has obtained by doing various things in specific games. For more information on how a badge is earned, simply click on it.
  • Statistics: This box will list various extra stats about the user such as when they joined, how many people have visited their places, and how many posts they have made in the forum.

About Tab - Choosing What Displays in Your Collections

Sometimes you may wish to show specific items in your profile's Collections bar. To do this:

  1. Visit the details page for an item you own
  2. Click the gear-icon to the right of the title
  3. In the menu that pops up click either "Add to Profile" or "Remove from Profile"
