What are Parental Controls on Roblox?
Use Parental Controls on Roblox to choose how your child engages and interacts with others across Roblox. You can make informed decisions about what is right for your family and manage your child’s account features such as screen time, content maturity, spend limits, and privacy settings.
How do I manage parental controls for my child’s account?
You will need to set up a Roblox account with parent privileges, then link it to your child’s account. After linking your accounts, you can view and update parental controls for your child on Roblox.com and the Roblox mobile app (iOS and Android). What is a Roblox account with parent privileges?
A Roblox account with parent privileges allows you to approve certain actions for your child on Roblox. You can also explore Roblox as an avatar on your own, or with your child. When creating an account with parent privileges, you’ll be asked to enter your birthday, verify your age using a government-issued ID or credit card, and link to your child’s account.
Who can create an account with parent privileges?
In most regions, parents of children under 13 can add parent privileges to their Roblox account. To enable parent privileges, you must be ID or credit card verified, 18 years of age or older.
What if I already have a Roblox account?

Why do I need a different Roblox account from my child’s account?
Having your own account linked to your child’s account allows you to manage your child’s experience from your own device without the need to log into your child’s account every time you want to make a change or view insights.
How do I unlink from a child account?
To unlink from a child account, go to Settings > Parental Controls, and select the child you want to unlink from. Select the pencil icon in the top right corner, and then select Unlink accounts. Note that if you unlink your account from your child’s, you will no longer be able to provide permission for actions on Roblox, control their privacy settings, and set screen time or spending limits.
What settings can I manage for my child?
In most regions, parents of children under 13 can manage their privacy settings, as well as screen time and spending limits.

Why am I being asked for parental consent?
If you receive an email to provide parental consent for your child on Roblox, this is because your child needs your permission to take certain actions on Roblox. You will need a Roblox account with parent privileges to provide consent for your child.
Can I share my account with parent privileges?
We understand partners, friends and siblings may want to share their Roblox accounts. Roblox does not encourage account sharing. Anyone with access to your account can make changes to sensitive information on the account, including changes to your linked child accounts. Roblox accounts are free to make, and multiple parents can link to the same child's account from their own different accounts.
What happens when my child grows older?
