I Forgot My Username

This article provides step-by-step instructions for recovering your Roblox username using either your verified email address or phone number. You will be able to see your username and reset your password when you go through the Account Recovery process.

Recover your account using your email address

1. Select Forgot Username or Password on the Login page.
   • You will see the “Recover your Roblox Account” title on this Recovery page.
2. Enter your email address in the Email box and press the Submit button. You will see a confirmation message.
   • Please make sure to type your email address exactly as you entered it on your account.
3. This will send an email with a link to recover your account.
4. You’ll then find a list of usernames that match your account.
5. After retrieving your username you can log in.

If, after a few minutes, the email doesn't seem to arrive, please be sure to check your junk/spam folders.

Recover your account using a phone number

1. Select Forgot Username or Password on the Login page.
   • You will see the “Recover your Roblox Account” title on this Recovery page. 
2. Select the phone tab.
3. Select your country code.
4. Enter your phone number in the Phone Number box and press Continue.
5. This will send an SMS with a code to confirm it’s your account.
6. You’ll then find a list of usernames that match your account.
7. After retrieving your username you can log in.

Other ways to locate your username

These methods above will only work if there was an email or phone number added to the account before you forgot the username. The only other way to locate the username is if you made a purchase on Roblox. Some purchase receipts include the username of the account used to make the purchase, and you can locate it there.

Without an email, phone number, or purchase history there is no way to recover the account.
