At what age can you create an account on Roblox?
Since children under five are still building the cognitive skills and coordination needed to fully enjoy Roblox, you won't see birthday options for children younger than five when setting up an account on Roblox.
Existing users who previously made a mistake when selecting a birthday during account creation are encouraged to correct the birthday on their account from Settings.
When creating your account, it is important to select your actual birthday to ensure that you have access to the right features and experiences. Certain features are only available to users above a certain age, such as voice chat.
How do I change my age?
For users under the age of 13, updating their birthday may require ID verification or parental consent, depending on the new birthday that is selected.
- ID verification allows users 13 and older to verify their age using a government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport, etc.). For example, a user under the age of 13 correcting their age to 19 is required to ID verify. Learn more about age ID verification.
- Parental consent allows parents and guardians to approve certain actions for their child, such as birthday changes. Only Roblox accounts with parent privileges can provide parental consent.
Some regions may have additional requirements to update your age.
