Developers who meet the Commerce eligibility criteria on an on-going basis may receive Commerce privileges to sell physical products on Roblox by connecting authorized Shopify stores. As a developer with access to Commerce privileges (“Seller”), it is your responsibility to ensure that the products you list for sale and their corresponding listings on Roblox adhere to the Roblox Terms of Use, all other applicable Roblox terms and policies including these Roblox Commerce Standards, Roblox Community Standards, the Roblox Advertising Standards, and all applicable laws and regulations. Violations may result in actions against your account, including but not limited to account suspension, feature suspension, or removal of product listings.
Seller Integrity
Sellers on Roblox are expected to act with integrity, transparency, and in compliance with the following requirements:
- Developers must meet and maintain the eligibility requirements listed under the Commerce page of Creator Hub on an ongoing basis.
- Developers must not attempt to circumvent or fraudulently meet any associated eligibility criteria.
- Sellers must connect their Roblox accounts only to Shopify accounts that they own and operate themselves or have written authorization to do so from the registered account holder. - Sellers must clearly disclose the availability of real-world products for purchase in exchange for real money on the Experience Details Page for each experience that hosts commerce features.
- Sellers must clearly identify the product available for sale in the product listing on Roblox, such as with accurate images and descriptions of the price, functionality, specifications, features, return or exchange policy, origin, name of manufacturer or brand, etc.
- Sellers must provide all necessary disclosures in the product listing as required for the product they are selling and must not attempt to make deceptive, misleading, or unrealistic claims about their products they are selling.
- Sellers must not request any more user information than necessary to complete the sale of goods transaction.
- Sellers must not attempt to compromise the integrity or security of Roblox’s seller tools, including but not limited to attempting to sell products to users under the age of 13 or attempting to upload malware.
- Sellers must not attempt to mimic Roblox’s platform functionality, user interface, or confuse users with interface elements that are non-functional.
- Sellers must not attempt to direct users off-platform to unauthorized URLs in any manner, either through the checkout flow or by attempting to direct users to more information about the product.
- Sellers must not violate the intellectual property rights of any third-party. Roblox will promptly remove reported content upon receipt of a notice of infringement from rightsholders.
- If bundling, Sellers must immediately grant the Bundled Digital Benefit to purchasers once the payment is complete.
- Sellers must not implement fraudulent Bundled Digital Benefits to deceptively incentivize product purchases, including using Bundled Digital Benefit descriptions that are inaccurate or mechanisms that do not immediately grant the promised Bundled Digital Benefit to the user.
