Why does this happen?
Error code 277 occurs when the client application servers fail to establish a network connection on PCs, Macs, or mobile devices.

Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
- Try uninstalling & reinstall the Roblox application (This helps clear any corrupted files and data that may affect the functionality of the Roblox application, installing a new copy of the application updates it to the latest version)
- Select Start and open Settings
- Look for the Apps icon and select it, followed by Apps & features
- Select the Roblox application and then select Uninstall, then follow the directions on the screen
- Clear App-Data (This gets the access cache build-up cleared from your system, i.e., clearing the app's data restores the app to its default settings and clears all stored app data)
- Uninstall Roblox and open command prompt (by pressing Win+R > Type ""CMD"" > Press Enter
- Type in the following commands: cd AppData\Local (then press enter) >> rmdir /s Roblox (then press enter) >> Enter ""y"" when asked to answer (then press enter)
- Restart your computer & Reinstall Roblox
- Network-related (This helps with connection related errors and issues of high ping/lag)
- Try connecting your system to a different source of internet connection and see if the issue persists
- If it persists, it is recommended to connect with your internet connection provider for further troubleshooting
Windows 11 (64-bit architecture)
- Try uninstalling & reinstall the Roblox application (This helps clear any corrupted files and data that may affect the functionality of the Roblox application, installing a new copy of the application updates it to the latest version)
- In the search text field on the taskbar, enter the Control Panel and select it from the results
- Select Programs and open it, followed by Programs and Features
- Press and hold (or right-click) on the Roblox application to remove and select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change, then follow the directions on the screen
- Clear App-Data (This gets the access cache build-up cleared from your system, i.e., clearing the app's data restores the app to its default settings and clears all stored app data)
- Uninstall Roblox and open command prompt (by pressing Win+R > Type ""CMD"" > Press Enter

MacOS (MacOS 10.13 High Sierra and above)
- Try uninstalling & reinstall the Roblox application (This helps clearing any corrupted files and data that may affect the functionality of the Roblox application, installing a new copy of the application updates it to the latest version)
- Either you can drag the Roblox app to the Trash, or
- Select the Roblox app > Move to Trash from the menu bar (If the app is available there), or
- Select the Roblox app and press Command-Delete on your keyboard to delete it
- Check if your MacOS has given access to the application (Application must seek permission from the system to run)
- Select the Apple icon to open Preferences
- Open Privacy & Security settings, then turning on permission for the Roblox app
- Network-related (Helps with connection related errors and issues of high ping/lag)
- Try connecting your system to a different source of internet connection and see if the issue persists
- If it persists, it is recommended to connect with your internet connection provider for further troubleshooting
iOS (iOS 12 and above)
- Rebooting Device (Clears the memory usage and freshen ups the device)
- Press and hold the volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears
- Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off
- To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right-hand side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo
- Force Close Roblox App (Puts an end to various issues at runtime, sometimes this is all an application needs to refresh anything that might be giving it difficulty)
- To do this, press the Home key twice or simply swipe up from the bottom of the screen. This will display a group of apps on your screen.
- Swipe the Roblox app upwards to force-close the app
- Reinstall Roblox application (Installing fresh copy of the application with the latest updates)
- While on your home-screen, press and hold down the Roblox app icon until all the apps on your screen begin to shake.
- Press the X over the Roblox app or simply select and hold the Roblox app and choose the delete option.
- If you are asked to confirm your selection, press Delete.
Open the App Store and search for the Roblox app in order to reinstall it

- Make sure the date and time are accurate. If they are not, update them and try Roblox again

Android (Android OS 6 and above)

- Power down your device by holding down the power button and press Power Off
- Once your device has been powered down for 30 seconds, press the power button to turn it back on again
- Force Close Roblox App (Puts an end to various issues at runtime, sometimes this is all an application needs to refresh anything that might be giving it difficulty)
- From the Home screen, select the Recent key (left/right soft-key) to open the Recent Applications page
- Swipe sideways to close the app or select Close all
- Reinstall Roblox application (Installing fresh copy of the application with the latest updates)
- Select the Settings icon
- Scroll down and select Application manager
- Find and select the Roblox Mobile App
- Select Uninstall
- Once the uninstall is complete, reinstall the app from the Google Play Store

- Swipe your finger from the top of the screen and select Settings
- Next, select Apps & Games and then Manage All Applications
- Finally, select Roblox from the list and select Force Stop
- Rebooting Device (Clears the use of memory usages and freshen ups the device]
- Power down your device by holding down the power button and select OK
- Once your device has been powered down for 30 seconds, press the power button to turn it back on again
- Reinstall Roblox application (Installing fresh copy of the application with the latest updates)
- Swipe your finger from the top of the screen and select Settings
- Select Apps & Games and then Manage All Applications
- Select Uninstall
- Once the uninstall is complete, reinstall the app from the Amazon Store
- Check and correct date and time (Helps keep the system in sync with the servers)
- Open your Settings app
- Find your time and date settings. The location will vary from device to device and operating system
- Make sure the date and time are accurate. If they are not, update them and try Roblox again

- Select the menu button, which looks like three lines in your Chromebook's Chrome browser on the top right
- Select on More Tools in the pop-up menu
- Select Task Manager
- Select the process or program that you wish to force quit and select End Process on the bottom-right of the screen
- Rebooting Device [Clears the use of memory usages and freshen ups the device]
- Select your account photo and then Sign out and then Turn off
- Once your device has been powered down for 30 seconds, press the power button to turn it back on again
- Reinstall Roblox application (Installing fresh copy of the application with the latest updates)
Select the Launcher icon, select All Apps, and locate the app you want to remove
Right-click the app icon and select Remove from Chrome
In the confirmation window, select Remove
Reinstall from Google Play store - Check and correct date and time (Helps keep the system in sync with the servers)
