Roblox now allows users to change their Roblox account's display name in the account settings as a free feature. This is different than Changing a Username.

Note: Users can now use Japanese characters to update their name, with additional character support planned for the future. This feature is currently in beta and not available to all users.

How do I change the display name?

1. Log into your account
   (If you can't log in, try these steps for resetting your password)
2. Go to account Settings
   • Browser - find the gear-icon located at the upper-right corner of the site
   • Mobile Apps - find the three dots icon for More
3. Select Account Info
4. Select the Change Display Name button (icon looks like a pencil and paper)
   • Enter your new Display Name
5. Click Save
6. When you refresh you should now see your Display Name as different from your Username.

Note: Some users will see their display name referred to as "Name".

What else should I know about display name changes? 

• Your display name and username will be visible on Roblox and associated experiences
• You can only change your display name one time every seven days.
• Display names must follow Roblox Community Rules and terms of use or may be reset to your Username.
• Other players may also have the same display name.
