Why am I getting warnings in chat?
We want Roblox to be a safe and fun place for everyone. To help achieve this, we've introduced a system that warns and temporarily restricts users from chat who repeatedly try to send messages that violate our Community Standards in in-experience chat.
How does it work?
If you repeatedly attempt to send messages that our text chat filter detects as violating our policies, you'll receive a notification (a "nudge") warning you to stop. If you continue, you will be temporarily prevented from sending messages.
What happens if I keep violating the rules?
The length of time you're blocked from chat will increase each time you continue to violate the rules. You'll start with a short mute, and it can grow up to longer periods. Keep in mind that repeated violations could eventually lead to actions on your account, such as suspensions or bans.
I think I got a warning by mistake! What can I do?
If you believe you received a warning in error, you can let us know. While we might not be able to reverse short mutes immediately, your feedback helps us improve our moderation systems.
Where does this apply?
These warnings and chat restrictions apply to all in-experience chats on Roblox.
What kind of messages are considered violations?
Anything that goes against our Community Standards or any of our other policies is not allowed. This includes harassment, discrimination, and profanity.
