Communities are a way for players and their friends to form their own mini-community with other like-minded players. Communities can battle other communities, assist in building, engage in discussions, and more.
Requirements
The amount of communities a player may join is limited to 100. Players may also create up to 100 communities of their own. Community creation requires a one-time payment of 100 Robux, per community.
Creating a new community
If the requirements are met, creating a community is fairly simple.
-
- Log into your account
- On the Roblox website, click Communities, located in the navigation panel to the left
- On the Roblox app, tap the More "..." button at the bottom of the screen or left navigation depending on your device.
- Click the Create button.
Once on this page, fill out the Name, Description and Emblem sections. Each should reflect what the community is about. Once done, located in the Settings, choose the accessibility of community entry. For the greatest amount of control, select the Manual Approval option.
Note: Community names cannot be longer than 50 characters.
Once everything has been set how you would like it, click on the () Purchase button to finalize the creation of the community.
The Community Admin Page
This page will give you the tools you need to effectively manage your members and the community itself. To get there, click the Configure Community button in the Controls box on the right of the community's page. Once there, you will see the following options:
Information: This is where you can change your community's name, owner, image, and description.
Settings: Here you can set requirements for joining the community. This includes requiring Manual Approval. You will also find the options to allow the declaration of enemies and set the visibility of community funds and experiences. This section will also allow owners to transfer ownership to another member.
Please note that this process is not reversible.
Social Links: This section allows you to add social links within your community descriptions.
Revenue: The section allows you to track the Robux your community has earned by the past day, week, month, or year. Also, the Payouts option has been added in the Revenue section to give the community's funds to specific members through a One-Time Payout as well as set up a Recurring Payout.
Members: Here you can search or browse your current members. You can also choose to filter by rank. Additionally, this is where you will be able to change member rankings and accept or deny any pending join requests. Lastly, you can remove a member from the community by clicking on the gear next to their icon and selecting ‘Ban User'. You can temporarily remove a member by selecting ‘Kick User’ from the same menu.
Roles: Here is where you can add new ranks as well as change the name and permissions of your already existing ones. For more information, click here.
Note: User can log-in to desktop/laptop computer to check Community Audit Logs and to toggle with the Affiliates section of your community.
Use the Report Abuse button if there are wall-posts that violate the Roblox Community Standards.
Community ownership
If the owner leaves the community, then any community member can claim ownership. If there are no other community members with a membership at that time, then the community will remain without an owner.
