You can control which Roblox notifications you receive and how they're delivered. Notification settings let you choose the types of updates you care about and which delivery channels each type uses.
Customizing Roblox notification settings does not change your device's system-level notification preferences. To adjust those, go to your device's settings.
Accessing notification settings
- Go to Roblox Settings
- Tap Notifications
From here, you'll see the notification settings page organized into sections. At the top is Device Notifications, followed by notification-specific categories.
How notification settings are organized
Notification settings follow a three-level structure:
- Categories are the top-level groups on the main settings page. Each category covers a theme, for example, Social includes activity related to friends and parties, while Games covers game updates.
- Notification types are the specific events within each category. Tapping into a category reveals its notification types. For example, tapping Social shows types like Friend Request Received, Party Invitation, and Chat Message.
- Channels are the delivery methods available for each notification type. Tapping into a specific notification type shows which channels you can turn on or off for that type.
Notification channels
Each notification type can be delivered through one or more of the following channels. Not every channel is available for every notification type and you'll only see the channels that apply.
- Mobile: Push notifications sent to your phone or tablet.
- Desktop: Push notifications sent to your computer.
- Notification Center: Updates delivered to the bell icon in the upper-right corner of the Roblox app.
- Email: Notifications sent to the email address associated with your Roblox account.
Device Notifications
The Device Notifications section sits at the top of the notification settings page. It gives you control over mobile and desktop push notifications at the account level.
- Mobile and Desktop toggles: Each has a master on/off switch. Turning a device channel off stops all push notifications on that device without changing your per-type preferences. When you turn it back on, your previous per-type settings are restored.
- Do Not Disturb: Set a daily time window to silence mobile and desktop push notifications (for example, 10 PM to 7 AM). During this window, notifications are still delivered silently to your device and they won't buzz or alert you.
To set up Do Not Disturb:
- Go to Notifications → Device Notifications
- Toggle Do Not Disturb on
- Set your preferred Start and End times
Customizing notifications by category
To adjust the channels for a specific notification type:
- Go to Notifications
- Tap a category (for example, Social)
- Tap a notification type (for example, Friend Request Received)
- Toggle the available channels on or off
Each notification type shows which channels are currently enabled beneath its name, so you can see your active preferences at a glance without tapping in.
Security notifications
Roblox sends security-related notifications to help protect your account. These include alerts for new login events, trades or transactions requiring 2-Step Verification, and other account integrity activity.
Security notifications cannot be turned off through notification settings. If you have a verified email address on your account, Roblox will automatically send email alerts for this activity, including approximate event time, regional location, and device information.
Spending notifications
Parents and caretakers can choose to receive notifications about their child's spending activity on Roblox. Spending notifications are managed separately from general notification settings.
